RIP to the great Bobby Whitlock, co-founder with Eric Clapton of Derek and the Dominoes. He co-wrote 7 of the songs including “Bell Bottom Blues,” “Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad?” and perhaps the saddest song on the album, “Thorn Tree in the Garden.” And from the vault: MILES DAVIS and PRINCE, the only time together onstage.
